It was the first outing for part of our 2015 show "The Lippy Logic Effect", featuring an Afternoon in Outpatients, The LL version of the British Bake-Off and a unique erm...."rendition" of Jerusalem. You can see the full version on 17th October at Eldroth Parish Hall -click here for details It was great fun and the audience threw themselves into it all - and laughed a lot too! Here are a couple of audience comments: Went to the WI Group rally on Friday. Lippy Logic were amazing. They should be on Prime time TV. Not a rude word or gesture in sight, just scintillating wit. The facial expressions, timing and captivating chemistry between this talented duo are second to none. Really enjoyed the show FM
We were well entertained by Lippy Logic...As usual they were very funny and topical.....I do hope Christine had washed that Jerusalem artichoke embedded in her icing...it was a very good evening L C

Lippy Logic excelled themselves again with a great performance at the W.I. Rally on Friday 3rd July. Cissy and Verna were hilarious in the 'hospital waiting room'. They promised us tears of laughter and we duly obliged. The audience participation was well received and, over all, it was a great evenings entertainment. MG

is entirely due to circumstances outside our control. We are very disappointed and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. We will let you know as soon as we have our next shows planned.
Hope to see you soon! Christine and Veronica Proud to bring live theatre to your doorstep! ps Thank you for your suggestions about what we should grow in the Lippy Logic veg patch. Difficult to find seeds for Lady's Fingers and Kohlrabi in this neck of the wood, but we'll keep looking. Keep your suggestions coming and we'll try and grow them!
Well, it's been a funny sort of couple of months in Lippy Logic Land.
Christine would like to thank everyone for their support, concern and best wishes while her John has been poorly. Now that he's back on the road to recovery, well, it's all systems go, go, go!
We're just firming up dates for this year's shows so watch this space for more details soon.
hard at it writing our next show.....
That's if we can find the pencils and Lippy Logic Black Books to write something in them...
And then there's the Lippy Logic veg plot to dig over and start planting.
That's where you can help!
So what shall we plant then? Email us with your suggestions (keep it clean chaps). We'll try them in the two plots and see who grows the biggest, fattest, longest, tastiest in time for the local Village produce show in August.
See, told you it was all go....

Thank you for all your encouragement and support this year. We've had a wonderful time getting out and about the country, and they say the Tour de France will never be the same after our intervention....
You may or may not be glad to hear that we're already hard at it writing lots of new material for 2015. And, oh look! We've found a few clever little Gadget thingys to add over on the right below our Gallery. Do try them, and then we'll know they work! Just click on the Email thing now so you can be the first to know what we're getting up to and where.
We've made a special little Christmas present for you below. Hope you enjoy it.
We hope you have all the good bits this Christmas, and a calm and healthy 2015.

How to Book
Lippy Logic is a two-woman show that brings live theatre to your doorstep with laugh-out loud comedy and acute observations of everyday life.
The show is made for Arts centres, village halls, churches, fields, barns, schools, small theatres; after-dinner pieces, Christmas parties, WI's, The Full Monty (er...that's to say "show") - you name it - if you have room for an audience and a small performance area, you can accommodate Lippy Logic, and we'll bring great entertainment and live theatre. Here is just some of our repertoire to date:
From comedy:Two ladies of a certain age meet the might of the Tour De France on a fell in Yorkshire • Hints and Tips of growing courgettes in adversity in a Yorkshire Country Garden • Singing lessons with a Teapot and a Flat Cap To drama:The lifelong friendship of two friends is testing to breaking point when human frailties are suddenly exposed • the tense relationship between a mother and daughter • handling ageing and ageism
And right now, our 2015 show is making its way through the Lippy Logic notebook.
All you have to do is get an audience together, sell tickets, provide front of house people, oh and lay on refreshments (optional extras but they always go down well with audience and performers!).
We have the technical stuff - props, sound and lighting - we just need electricity to make it work. We can help with posters and publicity.
If you haven't done this before
Give us a call or send an email, and speakto your local authority’s Arts Development Officer who might be able to help. - we'd love to hear from you!
Well, we made it to the highest market town in England then (aka Hawes!). The bike is now having a rest and we have rather a lot of french sausage to get through. Not to mention the Très Grande Baguette. The Dales Countryside Museum was a smashing venue, the people were lovely and the audience just great. And we had a jolly good time too! Thanks to everyone who came and who helped. Here are some audience comments, followed by the press review:
People
were very complimentary about Lippy Logic, I heard a lot of warm and
positive feedback. I noticed much laughter at the ruder
jokes from the elderly ladies......!
I
laughed and cried in turn. The 4 part sketch [Photographing Kites] in
Part 1 was most moving, and extremely well acted. I thought too that
all the complicated scenery/props were really well handled, given you
had such a small space. SO.....may you go on from strength to strength.

I'm from Australia and I thought I was coming to some amateur village show. But you were so professional, beautiful acting. The first part [Photographing Kites] was so sensitive too. An Australian visitor
We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and there was a full house too.....Your second half [Tour de France] was so funny and was most entertaining. A&JD
WESTMORLAND GAZETTE Don't be Lippy, use logic and go to theatre A raptuous crowd enjoyed a fantastic live performance at Dales Countryside Museum
Mary
Berry, eat your heart out. A full house missed the final of the Great
British Bake Off for a performance by Lippy Logic in Hawes this week.
Veronica Caperon and Christine Hooley brought a mixture of banter,
song, and serious and comic sketches to an enthusiastic audience.
After
some warm-up local humour drawing on the creamery, the rope works and
Hardraw Force, the first half moved to a short play touching
sensitively and powerfully on mother/daughter relationships, the
challenge of finding the right man for some intelligent and forceful
women, and the deep pain of the loss in the family. The pain was
briefly relieved by the hypocrisy of an over-protective,
right-thinking mother of another small child.
The
second half began with a topical comic sketch set on the Buttertubs
Pass where two women plan to infiltrate the first day of this year's
Tour de France and win the first stage. They don't even begin to
pedal and are silenced as the competitors zip past but, before and
after, the jokes and the laughter flowed. The evening ended with the
Wensleydale premiere of Lippy Logic's theme song with witty new words
set to a familiar tune. The audience joined in the chorus with a
will.
Clever
writing and engaging performances showed just why so many of us are
happy to leave the telly and the fireside for the live theatre.
